As a fundraiser for the Worthington Area YMCA, the employees of the Prairie Holdings Group of companies have contributed their favorite recipes to create a cookbook.

The book, "Pure Homemade Goodness," includes nearly 500 recipes of all types: appetizers, beverages, soups & salads, vegetables & side dishes, main dishes, breads & rolls, desserts, and cookies & candy. Recipes for various household hints, quick snacks, and children's activities are also included. Plus, a special section includes information on such topics as herbs & spices, baking hints, tips on vegetables & fruits, napkin folding, measurements, substitutions, quick fixes, calorie content, and cooking terms...everything an aspiring chef might need!

The books are on sale for $15, with an additional $5 shipping and handling per book. They would make a perfect Christmas present for the cooks on your list!

Proceeds from the sale of the books will go to the Worthington Area YMCA, as they continue to raise funds to build a new facility.
